About Killer Bee Gi
My name is Jesse Bellavance and I have been doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 1997, way back in Morgantown, West Virginia at Ground Zero Jiu-Jitsu. From there I moved to the Fredericksburg, Virginia area where I trained at Trident Academy in Woodbridge under Pat Trey and earned my Blue belt.
After a few years, I discovered a school more local to my residence under the great leadership of Chad Lebrun of The Lab. Under him, over the course of seven years, I earned my Purple belt and in May of 2009 my Brown belt.
In July of 2009, I moved to the Charlottesville area and trained at Charlottesville BJJ under Gordon Emery until 2020.
All of these teachers have provided me with something that I carry with me today when ever I go out on the mat. To all of my teachers, I wish to say thanks.
I STARTED KILLER BEE GI IN 2010.
My goal was to provide a different buying experience for BJJ gi’s. Originally, I offered customers the ability to mix and match sizes and in 2015 I began offering customers the ability to customize their own BJJ Gi.
In July of 2019, I began working with a web developer to build a website that would allow one to purchase a Made-To-Order gi using a real-time mockup program. I offer many different options and now give the customer the ability to upload their own embroidery graphics.
I have expanded this to include Custom Belts and now Custom Rash Guards.
I cannot promise you that my gi's will make you a top-level performer. That is within you and not the gi. I can promise I will provide you garments for the mat that are functional, durable, and of similar quality as those sold by other manufactures for twice the cost.
Disclosures:
Our BJJ gi's are made overseas in Pakistan. I have been using the same company for over ten years. I am based in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Our rash guards are printed and shipped in the U.S. and sourced from China.
Customers are responsible for any custom charges applied by their national government.
Thanks for checking out my site and I hope to be able to serve you in the future.
